#M727 U.S. Government 1892 Pattern Cavalry Curb Bit, Second Pattern. The bit types shown in Fig, 6, Page 56 of BRIDLE BITS OF THE AMERICAN MILITARY, 1776-1945, by McPheeters & Dorsey. This bridle bit measures exactly 6 ½ inches in length and 5 ½ inches across stamped (R.I.A.) on one side and (1905) on the other side also stamped (2) for the size and the off side boss is stamped (U.S.) this bit is in Good condition
