#4760 Winchester 1885 “Hi-Wall” Heavy Octagon Schuetzen style target rifle, 30”xNo.4 x 32/40 with excellent 9+ bore and tight action. VERY desirable wide spaced doubleset triggers and oversized triggerguard lever. High comb Schuezen buttsock with radical roll-over cheekpiece and brass Swiss buttplate. Forearm has a base for a palm rest. Open Rocky Mountain front sight, medium buckhorn rear barrel sight, and Marbles style adjustable post tang sight, plus it has been drilled for scope mounts. Barrel retains 98% fine blue (both in coverage and density), action has 80-90% coverage of a good case hardening with 60-70% density, wood is Fine with no serious deficits. Serial number 104XXX, made in 1909 so will require shipment to an FFL or C&R holder. Really a handsome 100+ year old target rifle capable of “reaching out and touching the target”. $2495
