Description

#4808 Remington No.1 “Smoot” revolver, 30RF, very early production and having the very scarce rotating recoil shield. This size revolver was only made between 1875 and 1877 with about 3000+produced and only the very earliest specimens (approx 650 made and all in 1875) had this recoil shield added. This specimen has about 95% original nickel finish on all of the gun except the cylinder, which has about 20%. The hard rubber grips are near perfect and the action is tight and crisp. For the advanced Remington collector, this is an extremely important variation of this 1870s pocket revolver. About Exc. …and very, very rare!! $1395
