#4683 Whitney-Kennedy OBFMCB sporting rifle, 24"x44/40, early serpentine style long-throw lever. VG bore with strong riflings but does have some light crustiness (especially in the grooves) and light pitting. No bulges or deep pitting of any serious consequence and after a thorough safety check by a competent gunsmith, this should be a good shooting and very uncommon lever gun. VG metal overall with a grey-brown patina and only some minor light scattered pitting, and except for one long forearm sliver, the wood is generally in VG condition as well. This rifle also has the very scarce "Kennedy" marked barrel without the Whitney markings (see "Flaydermans Guide" for information on this rarity). About VG overall. $1975
