#702 Garcia Spur the Spurs are old and excellent condition. They are silver, overlaid and have the Garcia name stamped on the inside of the spur. They have an old leather strap for hanging theses on the wall. G.S. Garcia started making cowboy spurs and other related items such as saddles at the age of 19 in California. Trained by the best Mexican artist and blacksmiths, Garcia was soon able to set up his own shop in Elko in Nevada. Such was the quality of Garcia Spurs that even famous actors such as Will Rogers ordered his wares. The majority of his spurs were sold to the local Vaqueros and cowboys. Garcia is also famous for making Saddles and has won many awards for his work during the first part of the 20th century.
