#101273 US 1881 Holster, Lanz Owen

Description

<p>Item number 101273. Original full length holster for the Colt Cavalry Model or the S&W Schofield. Tight seams, original toe, long belt loop, made by Lanz Owen of Chicago. According to Meadows, Lanz Owen produced these holsters for the Spanish American War, 1898-1899 in a quantity of just over 3000 (page 115). Holster shows crazing and loss of finish all over, especially on the top of the flap. The holster is very hard and stiff and a revolver will not go all the way into it without danger of damaging it. If you are looking for an excellent display holster, without the need to put a gun in it, this is your deal. But if you’ve got to shove a gun down into it, better pass on this one. Condition: Good as described. Email with any questions you may have, and please check my other items. Scroll down to click on “ADS FROM SELLER” to see all my listings.
