#M735 U.S. Government 1892 Cavalry Curb Bit, First Pattern. The bit types shown in Fig, 1, Page 54 of BRIDLE BITS OF THE AMERICAN MILITARY, 1776-1945, by McPheeters & Dorsey. This bridle bit measures exactly 6 inches in length and 5 ½ inches width stamped (1) for the size and the off side boss is stamped (U.S.) and in good condition.
