#4608 Winchester 1866 Musket, 44RF, late 3rd Variation

Description

#4608 Winchester 1866 Musket, 44RF, late 3rd Variation but still having the brass buttplate, 116XXX range. Just a standard military patterned musket, but in considerably better condition than most found these days in this price range. It has a REALLY nice bore (which in itself is highly unusual), smooth action, very decent wood, original Henry style rear sight and military post front, and both swivels intact. Neutral grey metal, nice mellow brass, pretty good barrel markings (although somewhat weak, but mostly readable) and just a really nice decent representative piece. The musket is, by far, the most scarce of the three common Model 1866 configurations, and every serious early Winchester collection could use one. There are lots of pictures of this neat old gun, so if they all do not load up, be sure to e-mail me and I’ll forward them along to you by return email. VG++ $4995

Price: $4,995.00
