#4807 Moore Fire Arms (Moores Patent) 32-TeatFire revolver

Description

#4807 Moore Fire Arms (Moores Patent) 32-TeatFire revolver with short side extractor gate. Made between 1864-1870, this little Pocket Revolver was extremely popular during the latter years of the Civil War …and also in the Civilian market after the War …and up until the bored-through cylinder patent ran out in the late 1860s. Approximately 20,000 of this particular version were made, and 30,000 total made of all variations. They were handsome little guns with engraved frames being standard and silver or gold wash contrasting with blued barrel and cylinder. Walnut grips were standard. This specimen has a LOT of original bright blue left on the smooth unpitted barrel and cylinder (about 80% coverage and 70% density), and also has liberal traces of the silver wash remaining on a very crisp engraved frame. The action is very good and the grips are about Fine. For the collector who likes these evolutionary type guns (and those being the cartridge attempts at circumventing the Rollin-White patent in the 1860s), this is an exceptionally nice example; not antique Excellent condition, but close to it. About Ex.Fine++ as described. $1295 (Please read sellers rules below ..and thanks for looking!!)

Price: $1,295.00
