Description
#4940 Winchester 1886 OBFMCB, 45/90WCF, 43XXX, with very desireable single-set trigger. Ex.Fine bore (9 on a scale of 10) with just some slight darkening in the grooves but basically bright with strong riflings. Tight, solid action (as is the case with most Model 1886s), full buckhorn rear sporting sight and pinched blade front. The barrel and magazine retain 95% of a flattening blue, and the receiver has faint traces of casecolor, but mostly a silvery-brown patina. Very nice wood with no serios detriments, just the usual light bumps and nicks seen on well cared for guns, but ones that have been used. Getting very hard to find NICE Winchesters in these highly sought after calibers, especially with some serious finish and a fine bore. There are a lot of pictures of this neat old Winchester (about twenty in all) , so if they all do not load up, be sure to e-mail me and I’ll forward them along to you. $3795
