#4935 Winchester 1886 OBFMCB 38/56WCF with very good bore (about a 7+ on a scale of 10) and tight solid action (as is the case with almost all Model 1886s) Serial numbered in the 113XXX range which dates it as 1898 and therefore just under the wire to still be an antique and not requiring licence transfer. The metal is about VG with a dark brownish-black patina and only some very minor scattered freckle pitting. Very good markings and decent solid wood that just shows average dings and wear of the 110 year life of hunting trips, etc. Standard open sights and single standard trigger. The front sight does have a replaced long blade made of copper rather than the usual German Silver blade insert. Nothing special here, just a good representative Model 1886. About VG as described. $2150
